Glasgow Airport is located 6 miles west of the city centre close to the towns of Paisley and Renfrew in Renfrewshire.     A Ryanair flight carrying 129 people has skidded off the runway at Glasgow Prestwick Airport. The incident happened just after 9am this morning after the Boeing 737 hit ice and slip onto a grass fieldafter landing on the runway. None of the 123 passengers or 6 staff were injured.
